Description
If old Egypt was alive and well. The flag's color's are representative of its mythic past. The yellow is a symbol of the power and wealth of the kingdom as well as the immortality of the gods. The second band is Egyptian Blue. It is representative of the Nile, and its life giving powers. The green is the renewed crops that the Nile brings every year. Each band represents the layers of Egyptian society, Heaven, The Underworld, and the Nile that divides them. The orange is what unites them all, the sun. The sun's son, Horus, bears the crown of the two kingdoms and the script labels the Nile with its name.
